Update: The offer for 100,000 is down to 30,000. Here is a link that still shows 100,000, but its a hit or miss if BA will give you the 100,000.
Chase is offering 100,000 British Airways miles as a signup bonus for their Chase British Airways Visa. Their taxes and fees are pretty high, but still, you are getting 100,000 miles for one card! Wow!
- You earn 50,000 after first purchase, and another 50,000 after spending $2,000 within the first three months.
- If you spend $30,000 within a calendar year (so it seems that you have less than two months to do it in 2009), you will get a free companion award ticket to be used on British Airways only. You will still be charged the taxes and fees, which at British Airways are unfortunately quite high.
- There is a $75 annual fee, but it is by far worth it.
You probably won't get accepted unless you have a great report and score. So, you may want to check your credit first. In NY Chase is checking Experian.

People are claiming that you can.
See ViewFromTheWing for more details.
thnak you very much.
what if i signed up for one since the promotion was launched can i get it again with ordering a second card.
Now you're asking for too much...
i"m just trying to find out if it works like the aa advantage credit cards. i thought this would not be a problem for you to know or find out. just checking our your service!
No, it doesn't work like the Citi AA cards. As far as I know, only Citi allows repeated signup bonuses without any problems.
Lately, Chase has been extremely strict and hasn't given signup bonuses to people who had previously received the signup bonus for that card.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that with this card, you might earn the signup bonus even if you already have a British Airways Chase Card. But that's speaking about the same card with a different promotion, not signing up twice during the same promotion.
can you use statefarm giftcards for this $2,000 spending?
I don't see why not.
Please report back if there are any problems.
